Anvil Sports Horses is a small private yard specialising in buying young horses to train for showjumping. Our aim is to professionally produce quality horses to excel and enjoy their sport and make their owners proud.

The owners are Dave Mason and Jean Faulkner who have a background of owning and competing, and who take pride in their yard, and the education of their horses. We are more than ably assisted by our rider, Laura Stringfellow, who competes our horses and works in the yard to give the horses confidence and an understanding of what is expected from them, both in and out of the stable, and during their schooling.

Laura joined us in 2011 as a working pupil, and has worked incredibly hard both as a groom and now as our rider, to school and compete our horses, achieving good results and many ribbons.

We have all new facilities to provide the best in training and welfare. The horses also are able to experience training at home, and competing away from our yard to give them the best possible start to their careers.
